The Avoca Chinese Garden Association would like to acknowledge Chinese New Year’s Day and the Year of the Monkey on Monday the 8th February 2016.
During Chinese New Year week the community is encouraged to wander through the garden, listen to the choir of frogs in the wetland following the recent rains and enjoy the ambience of the garden.
People born in the Year of the Monkey ( 1920, 1932, 1944, 1956, 1968, 1980, 1992, 2004, 2016) are charming, cheeky and clever. They are compatible with people born in the years of Dragon and Rat and their lucky colors are white, blue and gold.
This year the Chinese New Year celebrations commence on the 7th February and run through until 13th February, however the Avoca Chinese Garden committee is planning to host a ‘Night in the Garden’ in March rather than in February when the weather is traditionally hotter. More details to come
