This year the Chinese New Year celebrations commence on the 7th February and run through until 13th February, however the Avoca Chinese Garden committee is planning to host a ‘Night in the Garden’ in March rather than in February when the weather is traditionally hotter.
The ladies of the district are invited to dress in their finest Black & White and join the committee for a ‘Night in the Garden’ on Saturday 5th March 2016 from 7:30pm to 11pm.
The evening will be an opportunity to meet with friends in the tranquil garden setting while enjoying a complimentary drink, light supper and entertainment. Wines, cocktails and soft drinks will be available for purchase.
"We also have some great raffle prizes, including a helicopter ride around the district which will no doubt be very popular" commented event co-ordinator Deb Hicks, "tickets are selling fast and guests are looking forward to a‘Night in the Garden’.
"As we head into our second year we are excited with the growth and development of the garden and look forward to sharing the Chinese Garden story with visitors to town and hosting future events in and around the garden" added Helen.
Tickets are $20 and are available from Elizabeth at Elders, High St Avoca. Early Bird sales open until Monday 29th Feb to be in the draw for special prizes.
For those wishing to use our ‘courtesy ride home service’ please notify Deb Hicks of pick up / drop off points.
