FISHING & PHILOSOPHY - sTUART mILL
Is it possible that a goldfields town could be named after a British parliamentarian and philosopher? No one can settle on a definite answer.
What is certain is that Stuart Mill is a quaint community in an idyllic valley along Strathfillan Creek. At its headwaters is the Teddington Reservior, and the Kara Kara Forest. Crisscrossed with bushwalking tracks and two catchments reputed for good fishing, it is a great day out, 22 kilometers north of Avoca.
