The Avoca swimming pool was set to open for season 2021-22 on December the 11th following upgrades throughout the year. This season, Belgravia Leisure will manage the pool and the operator brings a wealth of experience in pool management for the next 3 years.
A successful grant from the Avoca Community Bank will fund a new permanent shade structure over two picnic tables, and this will be a welcome addition for patrons. Friends of the Pool President Belinda Costigan was delighted to receive the grant and commented that “ this will allow families to access the BBQ and tables while being protected from the sun.”
Opening Hours are : 11am to 7pm on weekends, public holidays, and school holidays; 1pm to 7pm Monday to Friday 6 30am to 8am for lap swimming on Tuesdays and Thurdays (subject to lifeguard availability) The pool will close if the temperature is below 20 degrees or in extreme weather conditions.
